Backyard Cottage Design Challenge 2010

Method and Infinity Real Estate recently sponsored a Backyard Cottage Design Challenge for architects and designers to submit prefab friendly designs for backyard cottages in Seattle and elsewhere. We at Method feel that backyard cottages, which are now allowed in Seattle city wide, are a great solution to increasing density in Seattle's residential zones that make up around 2/3 of the city and we were honored to be involved in hosting competition and hopefully promoting some awareness as these structures as viable options.

Method would like to thank all of the participants, entrants, judges and people who attended the event we hosted. We are grateful for all of the interest and time everyone put into making the design challenge a success. Below is an overview of the entries we hope to offer some of these as available in the near future.
