Method Homes are available throughout the U.S. and British Columbia. We have a network of partner manufactures in strategic areas to service the whole country. Our own facility can service the west coast of the U.S. and Canada, including Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Montana, Alaska and British Columbia.
We can also ship our prefab modular homes to remote places such as the San Juan Islands and the islands of B.C.
We offer a variety of finish levels on all of our different prefab home models. We arrive at a final fixed price at contract signing, based on a menu of finishes and options of your choice. Our homes range between $150 to $250 a square foot, for the prefab portions of the home. Please visit our pricing section for a more thorough understanding of our costs.
The first step in buying a home is to have a good idea of the land/lot you will be putting the home on and the parameters of the home you have in mind, i.e. model, size, budget, layout and finishes. Once these have been preliminarily decided, contact us to go over specifics such as site parameters, feasibility, location, desired options, and from there we will proceed to provide you with an estimated price and proceed to contract and scheduling a slot in our production.
In Washington and Oregon we can service our projects and the site work associated with them through our construction division MH Construction. Ultimately it is your decision in regards to hiring a contractor for these services. If you are out of MH Construction’s service area, we will work with you to hire a reputable contractor and consult with them throughout the building process.
Yes. Method Homes can work with clients and our team of architects to design your custom prefab dream home. We can also work with any architect for a custom one off prefab project, and consult with them on the specific prefab requirements it will take to build your home to your parameters.
Method Home’s master craftsmen have years of experience building custom homes by hand, on site. These special skill sets have enabled us to bring those qualities to a new level by building in a controlled environment, giving our clients thoughtful, very well built prefab custom homes.
Yes. The Method Cabin Series has specifically been engineered, to be built in areas with high snow loads. However, depending on location Method will need to evaluate each and every project. Areas such as higher elevations in the Cascade mountains for instance, would require additional engineering.
No. Method Home’s are built to the same standards as a site built home. Our homes adhere to International Building Codes (IBC) and local jurisdiction building codes. Method’s homes are built even stronger than their site built counterparts, due to increased engineering for transport and set. We also increase the performance of our homes through enhanced insulation applications and energy efficient systems for heating and cooling.
Manufactured homes are built to national HUD codes, and require the bare minimum for habitable occupation.
Our factory is in Ferndale, Washington.
